Superman/Batman Public Enemies Movie
I just saw from the DC Comics website that they will be launching Superman/Batman Public Enemies the Movie. It has been quite a while since I read the comic book however as far as I can remember this is one of the Superman/Batman story arcs that is just so-so. If you were to ask me they should have made the one with Supergirl and Darkseid into a movie.
But let’s see, maybe the movie turns out to be good after all. Official release will be on September 29, 2009 in DVD and HD-DVD format.

The Grail Conclusion Tim Drake was immediately detained by US troops upon arriving at the airport in Baghdad after being blamed for the burglary in Berlin. Z, however came to his rescue and convinced the guards that they had the wrong guy. That night, Tim and Z got to talk a bit and Tim was told that they actually came across each other in the past when the League of Assassins resurrected Ra’s Al Ghul. One night, Tim stumbled into a cave where a bat was carved. At the end of Final Crisis, we saw Batman at this very same cave, right after his alleged “death”. It was now clear in his mind that Batman is still alive. Upon exiting the cave, The Widower attacked them and killed all three of Tim’s companions, leaving him with a stab would himself. Other Events: In Gotham, Dick, now the new batman attempted to talk to Tim about his obsession with finding Batman alive. Being as stubborn as he is, Tim got into a fist fight with Dick who eventually let him go. |

The Grail Part 3 Tim Drake is in a building in Berlin, looking for clues about Batman’s whereabouts. While doing so, he was walking to Ra’s Al Ghul the whole time who was trying to get Tim to work for him. All he’s asking is for Tim to share all the knowledge he gets about Batman. His infiltration however was soon discovered by the guards, led by the Wild Huntsman(a huge man dressed in a Viking suit with 3 dogs as hit pet). During their fight though, we was aided by Owens, Z and Prudence, the three assassins who tried to kill him before. They were apparently instructed by Ra’s to aid him. Hours later, Tim flew to Baghdad again followed by the three who is now calling him boss. Other events: Before setting off to be the Red Robin, Robin had a talk with Cassey in front of Bruce’s grave. They were all offering him help and that he was not alone in all this. As usual, Tim turns them all away. The killings of members of the League of Assassins continue as one called vial, who uses poisons to kill his enemies was again killed by a webbed like trap. |
Red Robin 2
The last issue ended with three men on a rooftop about to shoot Tim with sniper rifle. We later found out that they were all working for Ra’s Al Ghul. Tim was able to escape his assassination when he detected them due to the reflection from their scope.
Before Tim could finish them off, they were called off by their boss and were asked to return to base. Back at his home, Tim accidentally attacked Spoiler who apparently sneaked up on him. Everyone of Tim’s friends were worried about his disappearance and despite all their concern, Tim prefers to be alone in his quest to find Bruce Wayne. In the end, we see him talking to the phone with Ra’s Al Ghul.
Other events: At South Africa, the Director of Public Prosecutions in Cape Town was assassinated by a member of the League of Assassins. However, he was also killed by someone through some weird web-like lightning strike.

Ironman Armored Adventures - Review and Summary of Episode 1
Ironman Armored Adventures has been released on April this year. I just came across it this week and decided that maybe I can give it a try. Marvel has been releasing these kinds of projects recently and to be honest they have not been very successful. A total rehash of some of the stories really enrage some of the fans. However, I decided to give this a try and maybe follow it for a few episodes.
The series focuses on a young Tony Stark (16 years old if I’m correct) as he looks for answers and avenge his father’s death at the hands of Obidiah Stane, now the CEO of Stark Enterprises. After a dispute about a certain business deal, Obidiah decided to take over the company and sabotaged the plane where Tony and his father were riding. Tony managed to survive due to the ironman armor he designed himself. The armor actually looked thinner than we are used to.
The first half of the episode was okay, introducing us to some of the characters like Pepper Potts and Rhodey Rhodes (War Machine) who are all in their teens by the way. After the death of his father, the Rhodes family acted as Tony’s guardian. The only action in this movie was when Tony tried to save a train from a serious accident, thereby getting some public exposure.
I will be giving some more synopsis of the succeeding episodes in the days to come so stay tuned!
