A Sleepy Little Town Part 1

Superman of Earth-2 has risen and is now a Black Lantern.

While the three engage in a fight, Krypto was attacked by Black Lantern Lois of Earth-2.

In New Krypton, Zor-el, father of Supergirl has also risen as a Black Lantern.

Kal-L and Connor headed back to their home only to discover Krypto beaten up, and Martha missing. They headed off to Smallville, which seemed like a ghost time at that time. They are confronted by both Lois and Superman Black Lanterns, having Martha as their hostage.

The comic starts out with Mon-El falling from the skies, having lost his powers for the moment. He plummets to the water and was lucky to be saved by Guardian and was brought to the surface.

There he meets with Squad K led by Hazard who attempts to apprehend Mon-El for being a Kryptonian. Easy enough, Mon-El beats beats them up and together with Guardian, they left. Looking for an answer as to why he suddenly lost his power, Mon-El sought the help of Dr Light who diagnosed that he has about a year to live because of lead poisoning.

Meanwhile, Guardian and his team broke in to a facility where they stole a huge cylindrical container housing a huge monster inside it. This being seems to be talking to them telephatically. As they were making their escape, a man wearing a blue suit, with highlights of orange attempted to stop them but was somehow
stopped by that being inside the cylindrical container.

In the end, we see Mon-El drinking in a coffee shop, realizing that after all that has happened to him, being diagnosed with only a year to live, he still wanted to live. He has this to say:
“And after all I have seen — I know — sadly, I realize, I want to live.”
