World of New Krypton Part 7

Commander Gor is pleading his case with the council, convincing them to launch an attack against Earth after the attempted assassination of Commander Zod. Gor is trying to blame the humans for the attack because the weapon was earth in origin despite being shot by their fellow Kryptonian.

Superman arrived to intervene and convince the council otherwise but it was Zod who came out of his stasis and did that. He also promoted Kal-el to General before he collapsed and was brought to the stasis chamber again.

While in a pedestal overlooking the city, Superman summoned Tyr and confronted him of his treachery. In the past issues, we are shown that Tyr was being instructed by Zod to spy on Superman, deceiving him all this time while acting as his friend.
Outer space while Gor is on a mission to disengage a moon off Jupiter’s orbit, they sent a distress call and was brought to Superman’s attention. Superman quickly launched a rescue team to go after Gor’s ship only to encounter fierce battle with the Thanagarians.

With the explosion of their ship, it somehow altered the moon’s path and is now heading towards Krypton.

Superman World of New Kyrpton Part 6

Ral-Dar, is being pummeled by the crowd after shooting Zod. Superman and the others intervened to prevent the others from killing him.

While in a stasis chamber, Superman and Commander Gor tried to talk to him, asking him for the reason why he attacked Zod. His only reply was that he has done everything to save his people.

Meanwhile a panic broke out within the city, with the people thinking this is a start of an attack, similar to that of Braniac’s. Alura tried to talk to the crowd and was able to disperse them for the moment.

Amidst all the chaos, someone broke Ral-dar free, injuring some of the men guarding him. Kal-el, thinking this job wasn’t suited for a “Commander El” went back to his room and got his Superman uniform.

Superman World of New Krypton Part 5

Dyn-Xe of the artist’s guild was sent to Superman to act as his defense counsel. He was being charged of treason after disobeying a direct order from General Zod to execute the prisoner Val-ty.

They proceeded with the trial together with the Elders of the Council. Meanwhile back at his cell, a Kyrptonian named Tyr-Van seemed to help Superman escape, providing him with a device that will disable the force field. Little does Superman know that he is being setup closely by Commander Ursa and Zod who used Tyr-Van as a tool.

Nevertheless, Superman stayed in his cell despite the chance for him to escape. Tomorrow came and judgment on his case was about to be made by the elders. Majority voted guilty but as they were about to rest the case, Zod interrupted saying that today is Nova day and asked to grant Superman pardon for all his sins.

Superman and Zod went out to the Celebration, with Zod acknowledging Superman’s dedication and willingness to die for his beloved Kyrpton. Amidst all the celebration and the cheering for Zod, one individual took out a gun and shot Zod straight through his heart.

Green Lanterns Sodam, Hal and John pay Superman and New Krypton a visit. They got a tour from Tyr, who showed them all around New Krypton.

During the tour, they were interrupted by Nar who summoned Superman at the request of General Zod. Thirteen escaped prisoners from the Phantom Zone have escaped and are now threatening New Krypton.

One of the escapees, Val-ty, has started his attack and is being pursued by everyone. During the pursuit, Nar was commaned by General Zod to eliminate Val-ty and not capture him. Nar disobeyed this order and simply disabled Val-ty’s powers and brought him into custody.

With General Zod refusing to surrender the prisoner to the Green Lanterns, Hal and the others left to prevent any more hostility.

In the last scene, Superman and Nar were arrested by General Zod for disobeying a direct order.

Superman - World of New Krypton #3

Superman decides to intervene in the current turmoil and asks General Zod for 30 minutes for him to fix the situation. However, being blasted by one of their Kyrptonian guns, he was to do this powerless.

Superman enters and convinces Tam-Or, a leader of the Science Guild who was in charge of the hostage taking, to back down. With Superman and his aunt Alura hearing out their concerns, they agreed to back down. As they were leaving the building Commander Gor attemps to shoot Tam-Or only for the bullet to be caught by Supergirl.

The next day, with Gor being humiliated, he challenges Superman to a duel in which Superman easily defeated him, using hand to hand combat he learned from Batman.

At the last scene, we see the Green Lantern Corps, led by Hal Jordan, arriving at the scene wanting to talk to Superman.

Superman - World of New Krypton #2

Zor assigns lieutenant Nar to be Superman’s second in command.

While the two were walking, they saw a sort of gladiator match between a Torquat(a Kryptonian spike covered beast) and Non, a huge Kryptonian who is being initiated into the military. Superman intervenes to stop the fight and punishes all those involved.

A herd of rampaging beasts called “Thought-Beasts” have just gone berserk and Superman’s unit was assigned to stop them. These beasts can basically induce panic by creating hallucinations that may confuse their attackers. Hesitant to kill them, Superman instructed his unit to burn a whole in the ground and lure the beasts into it, trapping them.

Finally on the last scene, a group from the Labor Guild has taken hostage a number of Kryptonians including Alura-El, Superman’s Aunt. Their one simple demand is to be recognized and be treated equal to the other guilds. However as retaliation, Commander Gor, a member of the Military guild has gathered 30 members of the Labor Guild and demanded that if Alura and the others aren’t released in sixty thribs, he intends to kill the lot. Zod has agreed to this and ordered them to fire at will when the time has elapsed.

Superman - World of New Krypton #1

Superman finally decides to leave Earth and live with his people in the New Krypton.

Upon arrival he was greeted by his Aunt and was toured areth New Krypton by Tyr.  Superman learned about the different guilds namely the Labor Guild,  Science Guild, Artists Guild, and Military Guild.

He also went to see Zod and was attacked by a huge Kryptonian wearing goggles. Superman easily beats him and proved to everybody that he was stronger than all of them since he was more experience with his power.

Finally in the end, despite his hesitance, he chose to be a member of the Military Guild and is now called “Commander El”.
