Daken is in the gym together with Ares. Just like what he always does, he again tried to instigate another fight, by getting into some mind games with Ares about him being a God and why he allows himself to be an employee.
Meanwhile, the Fantastic Four are inside the Osborn’s office, after receiving a message from Norman, demanding that they come. Norman basically blackmails them into exposing the footage of Thing, pounding Daken to the ground, unless they give him full access to their facility and files.
We are then taken to a flashback, showing Daken in conversation with the Fantastic Four about setting up Norman Osborn and countering whatever he has planned for them. Reed has a plan, but basically needs to be in close proximity to Norman.
Upon shaking hands with Norman, he seemed to attach something that got him access to Norman’s computer, triggering the download a they are walking out from his office. They weren’t able to walk out peacefully, as Ares and Venom, after being instigated by Daken engaged them on a fight. Just outside Norman’s office, Daken was attacked by Bullseye, shooting him with a bomb tipped arrow on his leg.
As the Fantastic Four were trying to escape, Bullseye triggered the bomb, creating an explosion. Back at their base, Reed realized that all their efforts were for nothing as Norman was able to remove all data from his computer, including Reed’s device. Waking up after several days in a coma, Daken received a message from Reed, saying ;
“We owe you.”

The Dark Avengers are having a meeting right after their almost confrontation with the Fantastic Four last issue. Bullseye was setup by Daken to look like he shot Human Torch with an arrow in the leg.
Daken then pays a visit to the Fantastic Four and was immediately clobbered by Ben Grim the Thing upon his arrival. When everything settled, Daken attempts to talk to Reed, convincing him that he wants to join them. Join the Fantastic Four.
Outside the building, Bullseye was watching Daken with a video camera when Norman suddenly appeared. He was tracking Bullseye after his alleged shooting of the Human Torch. Bullseye then convinced him that it wasn’t him who shot the Human Torch but rather Daken, who was trying to set him up.
Daken, realizing he was being followed must make it look like he wasn’t welcome in the Fantasic Four home base. To make it looked realistic, the Thing nearly destroyed Daken and threw him off the window, all seen by the watchful eyes of Norman Osborn.
Dark Wolverine 75
Norman Osborn gathered the Dark Avengers for a meeting, briefing them about a party they need to attend to later that night. During the meeting, Daken and Hawkeye (Bullseye) had an exchange of words and Daken ended up with an arrow pierced through her left chest.
It was revealed in this issue that besides having the healing factor of Wolverine and adamantium claws, Daken has another power Norman was unaware of. He can apparently affect emotions through scent.
Later at the party, everything was going along smoothly. Little chit-chat here and there when suddenly the Fantastic Four barged in uninvited. They confronted Osborn and demanded why one of their members apparently pierced Johnny Storm with an arrow.
The normal culprit for this would be Bullseye however it seemed that Daken had something to do with the incident. He managed to put the blame on Bullseye, getting his revenge for getting pierced with an arrow.
As an added bonus for this issue, Wolverine talks us through the history of Daken. He was a product of Wolverine and Itsu, a Japanese woman, love. When Itsu was pregnant, Romulus ripped Daken from his tummy killing her instantly. Daken’s blamed Wolverine for this and forever held a grudge on him. Despite knowing the truth later on that it was Romulus who killed his mother, his hatred for Wolverine still remained.
In the end, Wolverine is saying that he will do everything he can to guide his son to the right path, even if it means cutting him in half.

Apocalypse leaves, dragging Stryfe with him.
With the battle over, Hope and Cable teleported out of the place right after Elixir having some sort of a revelation saying that she knows what Hope is.
The others split into two teams with Josh, Logan and Warren flying to the UN and Domino, Warpath and Laura going to the X that Laura marked to save Tabby. Laura is the only one to make it the spot with her healing powers.

The comic is divided into several stories, each focusing on a different character.
The first is entitled “One Year After”. It begins with a news reporter narrating a video montage right on the steps where Captain America was assassinated. The next couple of scene focuses on Sharon Carter, as her memory becomes clearer and she begins remembering things specifically about the gun she used to kill Steve. She barges into the apartment of the man who took the gun from her after the assassination. She beats the man up, questions him until she recovers the gun used to kill Captain America. Sharon gets a sigh of relief when she realizes that the gun she used was not a normal gun.
The next story entitled “The Other Steve Rogers” focuses on the 50s Cap guy reflecting on his life. Coming out from a diner, he gets into a fist fight with two men trying to break into his truck. Finally he reflects about how the world needs a Captain America like him today.
We move on next to Rikki Barnes with her story entitled “The Youth of Today”. Just a bit of background, Rikki has been stranded in Earth 616 since the events of “Onslaught Reborn”. The story starts with Eli Bradley having a fight with his Vice-Principal for not allowing him to say a few words about Cap during their assembly. Rikki followed him on his way home. Eli then changed into his Patriot costume and confronted Rikki as to why she was following him. She basically just wanted him to introduce her to the new Captain America so she could he his sidekick. Eli was then convinced that the girl was sincere and invited her to come with him to the memorial vigil being held for Captain America.
We now move on to HAMMER Federal Holding Facility where our next story “Crossbones and Sin” take place. While the inmates are watching a CNN report about Captain America’s shooter, Crossbones brags and laughs about his actions. One of the guard gets pissed off by this and electrocutes Crossbones with his gun. Upon hearing the name of his girlfriend, Crossbones goes berserk and kills everything in his way until he reaches Sin. In the end, the guards launch riot gas in the room to put everyone to sleep. Sin’s last words were, “they don’t even know, the fools…”.
For the next scene, we are taken to a training room where the new Captain America Bucky, Hawkeye, Ronin, Luke Cage and Black Widow are working out. Bucky plans to attend the memorial vigil in full costume in order to honor Steve. Natasha however warns him than Noman Osborn will be there and it might only provoke him, resulting in a battle that might cause innocent lives. She then leaves the guys with something to think about.
The next portion called “The Red Skull’s Delirium” takes us to the Red Skull in his Arnim Zola body. He recalls the time he almost killed Steve during their encounters and he kept saying that no one is allowed to kill Steve but him. He then closes with saying that “someday they’ll all see what I’ve done and they’ll know I was your better..”.
Finally the last story called “The Vigilant”, the new Avengers are gathered at Central Park for the vigil. So as not to provoke Norman and his gang, they all came in street clothes. Above them are Norman Osborn, Ms. Marvel and Sentry. Having spotted the New Avengers down below, Sentry asked Osborn if they should engage them however Osborn has a better plan. He goes to center stage and claims that despite their differences, he respects Captain America and what he stood for. The crowd then cheers with him as they chant Captain America’s name. Amidst the cheering, Sharon Carter finds Falcon together with the New Avengers. To everyone’s shock, she tells them that they can still revive Steve.
