Amazing Spiderman 597

The Dark Avengers, together with Peter Parker disguised as venom are led by Norman Osborn to a room in the Avengers Tower. Here they are shown an armor, which resembles that of Ironman with a touch of Captain America’s costume. Norman intends to let Harry use this armor and join the Avengers as the American Son.

Around the city, a number of cylindrical shaped robots with tentacles are scattered and are causing power fluctuations.

Meanwhile Harry Osborn meets up with Menace and the two talk about their plan to escape from his father’s grasp. Harry is given an access card by Menace which will get him to restricted areas of the tower. Their plan is to get a cure for the Goblin Serum inside Menace and then escape together with their unborn baby.

As the Avengers split up, Daken waited for the moment when Spiderman is alone for him to make his attack. With his enhanced sense of smell, he realized outright that it was not the actual Venom wearing the costume.

Spiderman disposed of Daken easily then Harry arrived, furious as to why Spiderman has been intruding into his life. Shortly after, Norman and the Avengers arrived and Spiderman, with his disguise still intact, tries to blame everything on Daken. Harry however was forced to tell the truth to his father and “Hawkeye” shot two of his arrows into Spiderman’s thighs.

At the last scene, we see Norman Osborn shooting Spiderman with a gun.

Norman Osborn calls for a press conference to announce that his son has joined the Avengers. Peter Parker can’t believe that his friend has agreed to this, little does he know, Harry’s former fiancée is pregnant and that he is doing this for her.

At Avengers Tower, Norman shows Harry around but for the meantime, his access is limited unless he has proven himself to his father. Norman also forced Harry to take some kind of injection because of his former time as a drug user.

At the last scene, we see Norman holding a meeting with the Avengers about his new project. He calls this project, “American Son”.

Amazing Spiderman 595

Peter proposes to his boss to combat Norman Osborn by writing articles exposing his true self. As usual, he got rejected until he got something decent to really incriminate Norman.

In the Gracie Mansion, Peter, Harry, Jonah Jamesson, Jonah’s dad and Aunt may are all gathered for a celebration. Norman Osborn arrived late and suddenly the room was filled with uneasiness.

Norman’s main purpose was to ask Harry to come home and join him to work for the Avengers. Harry just gave his father a laugh and left the room.

Meanwhile back in Harry’s apartment, Lily suddenly showed up and seemed to have a surprise for Harry.

Back at Sixth Avenue, Norman was pulled out from his car by Spiderman. Infuriated by Norman’s attempt to get Harry at his side, Peter was very close into killing him. This however was interrupted by a phone call from Harry to Norman, accepting his offer to work for him.

At the last scene, we the reader is shown why Harry was forced to accept his  father’s offer, Lily was pregnant with his baby.

Amazing Spider-man #592

Peter Parker having just arrived in his house was surprised to see it neat and tidy despite having been gone for quite a time. He leaves at once to do some Spider-man business.

Meanwhile Jonah Jameson, newly elected mayor gets a visit from his Father who questions his hatred for Spider-man saying he doesn’t deserve Jonah’s accusations of him. During their conversation, Spider-man appeared from the window, joined their conversation a bit, then was chased away by Jonah’s security.

In the following days, Spider-man seemingly mocks Jonah by being on the headline, doing one good thing after another.

At the docks some robbers are making their escape on a speedboat when suddenly one of them was attacked by a man with falcon like wings.

At the last scene, Spider-man, after saving some boy, heads back to his place only to find Aunt May and Jonah Jameson’s father together in bed.
